The price of ordinary lunch or dinner in a restaurant starts at 60 CZK (2.5 €), however could be up to 150 CZK (6 €) in the first-class restaurants. Among the drinks, light beer is the most usual, the best known beer-producing companies of Czech origin are Pilsner Urquell and Budweisser, the local light beer is called Pernstejn, the dark one Porter. It is served in 0.5 liter glasses, alternatively sometimes in 0.3 liter. The price starts at 15 CZK (0.6 €), normally it is between 20 and 25 CZK (0.8 – 1 €). Soda or juice are served in 0.3 or 0.2 glasses, with prices around 25 – 35 CZK (1 – 1.4 €). Smoking is prohibited in many restaurants, some of them have a smoking-room or a lunchtime ban for smoking. There are no problems with the smoking in the bars or the beer-pubs. As far as the liqours are concerned, Absinthe is legal in the Czech Republic, so you might want to try it, though be careful, it is 2/3 ethanol.
